Archetype Glossary
Every archetype in the APEA system is derived from numerological position — not from personality categories, trait clusters, or behavioral typologies. The entries below define the structural and symbolic basis of each archetype across all three maps: Inner (Soul Urge), Outer (Expression), and Mythic Character (Life Path).
Doctrinal Foundation
The APEA system operates on a dual-numerology doctrine: Pythagorean calculations reveal the structural architecture — the outer form, the manifest pattern, the functional role. Chaldean calculations reveal the vibrational interior — the inner resonance, the hidden current, the soul's deeper frequency.
When the two systems produce the same number, the archetype is unified — the inner and outer expressions reinforce each other. When they diverge, the divergence itself is the primary datum: it reveals a structural tension between the soul's interior frequency and its exterior expression.
Inner Archetype
Soul Urge
Derived from the vowels of the birth certificate name. The Soul Urge reveals the interior motivational architecture — the self that exists before the world's gaze. In the Chaldean system, this is the vibrational frequency of the soul's deepest hunger.
Outer Archetype
Expression
Derived from all letters of the birth certificate name. The Expression number reveals the outer functional role — how the individual is structurally positioned to operate in the world. This is the mask that is also the face.
Mythic Character
Life Path
Derived from the date of birth. The Life Path reveals the mythic arc — the overarching journey structure that the individual is moving through across the full span of their life. It is the path, not the destination.
